Here are what we have going on or have in the works for opportunities to add some money to your student account:

SCRIP is a great way to raise money for your band or guard student’s account.  What is SCRIP?  It a fundraising partnership between non-profit organizations and major retailers.  RBHS Music Boosters can buy cash-cards/gift-certificates at a pre-determined discount.  The difference between the discount and face value (net of costs) is credited to the student account.

There are 2 Significant Changes to the SCRIP Program for this year:
1) All orders are placed on-line at WWW.SHOPWITHSCRIP.COM
2) The net proceeds (90% of the discount) from the SCRIP you purchase will be created to your student's account.

The SCRIP program is off to a solid start with almost $3000 in orders and over $200 generated for student accounts!  This year the program is even easier to use thanks to online ordering.  Band families can register to order SCRIP online at shopwithscrip and use the enrollment code E6666765882L.  It is a simple matter to then place their SCRIP order.  After placing the order just print-out the order form, attach a check and contact Cindy Hager to get the order processed. Orders are placed on the 5th and 20th of each month.

Our program is managed through Great Lakes Scrip Center – more information and a complete listing of Participating Retailers are available on their web site:  www.glscrip.com  It’s also good to check-out the special offerings on the What's New page.  For instance through October 12th the discount at Shell stations is 2.5% instead of the normal 1.5% and Barnes & Noble have a 1% premium for Back-to-School (through September 14th) bringing the total discount to 10%.
